The Temazcal (“the house of hot stones”) is a sweat lodge that originated with pre-Hispanic Indigenous peoples in Mesoamerica. The indigenous people used it for bathing, healing the sick, or rituals; among other things, Temazcal was a place to give birth. A round-shaped construction represents the mother’s womb.
The “Temazcalero” arrives hours before to light the fire, clear energetically all areas, build an altar and heat the Temazcal with volcanic rocks or “Grandmothers”.
The “Grandmothers” or volcanic rocks come from sacred places like Mexican volcanoes. They carry the knowledge that you need to heal.
The person who leads the Temazcal (Temazcalero) is an experienced healer or shaman, guiding the ceremony and holding the space.
When participants arrive, they gather around the sacred fire where the “Grandmothers” are warming up. The ceremony starts with an introductory talk, ancient wisdom, a prayer, and everyone’s intentions will be planted in the fire.
At the door, you will be purified with copal and herbs to cleanse the energies before entering the Temazcal.
Once inside, the ritual begins. The “Temazcalero” will guide you through the four doors. The “Greeting at 4 Rumbos” represents the four elements (air, fire, water, and earth), with specific energy, direction, and intention. These four doors are accompanied by songs, prayers, instruments, herbs, water to generate steam, copal … The steam purges the physical body and cleanses the energetic bodies for a new rebirth. These elements help create an environment to let go of everything that is not needed, overcome fears, and be reborn with a fresh, clear mind. The door of the Temazcal only opens in each symbolic door to receive the “Grandmothers”. It is important not to abandon the Temazcal as do you not interfere with the healing process. The experience inside will last between 1 hour or 1 hour and a half.
When the ritual finishes, in an orderly manner, carefully and in silence, you will leave the Temazcal. Outside you will take a cold bath or shower or a swim. The ceremony will close and sit down altogether in the fire area.

The main purpose of the Temazcal is to leave behind the fears. Abandon limiting patterns and recharge your energies as if you were born again.
But the Temazcal also has many other benefits:
It cleanses the respiratory and the digestive system, tones up the nervous system, and helps with bones, muscles, and gynaecological problems.
It is a purification ritual to balance the mind, eliminate toxins from the body, and connect the soul.

I found Healing Tulum after traveling the world for 10 months, touching 4 continents and trying healers in each of them with varying levels of effectiveness. I had my first session with a Healing Tulum recommended healer, who I can say to this day 6 weeks later has changed my life. He is truly gifted. Then gave another healer from the site a try, who again changed my life. I have found it a rare gift to have access to this quality of work combined in to such a simple and easy to use website.
I found Healing Tulum and I felt attracted by the therapies. I was doing one treatment in one of the wellness spas and it was just spectacular. I recommend the personal service and the quality of the therapies.
I found Healing Tulum when I needed it most in my life. This platform is forward thinking, the healers are exceptional and my therapies have been truly life changing. It’s difficult to capture in words, only through experience you can understand the magic that happens here.
